This delicious, warm baked brie snacking plate is simple to make and gorgeous on the table.
Sometimes, throughout the weekends, we may have last minute company pop in, or we’re looking for something to snack on while we hang at home between lunch and dinner. That’s when I hit the kitchen to see what we have on hand. Last weekend, this baked brie snacking plate came to life with a brie wedge I had stocked in the fridge from a work shoot, along with a few pantry staple ingredients like nuts, raisins, spices, and honey.
This takes five minutes to prepare, and ten minutes or so to heat in the oven - just until it reaches that near melty point. It’s gorgeous, flavorful, fun to eat, and simple to create. Plus, you may have nearly all the ingredients in-house already! Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 10-12 minutes
Yield: Serves 4-6
Ingredients
4-6 ounce Brie wedge
1 cup raw walnuts, whole or roughly chopped
1/2 cup black raisins
1/2 cup golden raisins
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (more if desired)
1/2 tablespoon olive oil
Flaky salt for serving
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F degrees. Place Brie in a shallow ovenproof dish.
Top Brie with walnuts and raisins, allowing them to fall over the sides. Top Brie with honey, crushed red pepper, and olive oil. Bake 10 minutes, until Brie is warm and interior is soft, but not melting. Remove from oven and sprinkle with flaky salt. Serve warm with crackers and apple slices.
*Provide a butter spreader or butter knife and a tablespoon for easy scooping and self-serving.
